May up date

I just posted 2 wall hangings in the photo
section in "items for sale "Take a look , they
would make a good gift for a newly wed.
The saw blade quilt is coming along slowly. It was
suppose to be for Lennie's BD , but I only have
15 blocks made . Instead he got a new mandolyn
which he is probably more pleased with .
Our quilt group had a good week end at the
Mushroom festival this year. We had an exhibition
booth only , but next year I will have the booth
set up for selling items again .
well , back to sewing untill next entry

I hope every one had a wonderful & blessed
Easter.I had all my family up & we had a wonderful
time.
I have just posted photos of 2 of my most recent
projects.
For Easter I embroideried each grand child a
T-shirt .They turned out very nice & I think they
had rather have them than another chocklet bunny.
I am also making a memory quilt for some cousins
to give thier Mother for Mothers Day.I think I
will make my Mother a embroideried cushion to
match her living room .
I'm making slow progress on Lennie's sawblade
quilt. I will concentrate more when I get the
memory quilt finished (Today I hope)
Mushroom Festival: Rather Be Quilting is going to
have an exhibition booth at the Mushroom Festival.
Everyone come by & see us there. If you have
questions we will answer them for you.

Lennie's quilt

I have started on Lennie's B D quilt . It is
called SawBlades . I got the pattern from Quilters
cache, It's an original pattern of Marcia Hawn,
owner of the site. It's a bit of a challenge ,
making all those 1/2 square triangles.I posted a
picture of the first 2 blocks. Progress will be
posted here.

Time to get started again!

Well, Christmas is over & I'm looking forward to
another year of quilting.I finished the 3 quilts I
was working on & Sue was happy with them.
Just for a break I decided to do something for my
self , so this morning I made a short runner for
the chest in my bedroom & I have a longer one cut
out to match for the dresser. My DH got me a Chalk
doll at a flea market & I'm going to set her on
the chest .
I also plan to make all my kids a quilt this year.
I have one started . The only problem is, I let
them pick the pattern & they don't pick simple
ones!
Check out The pictures. My Doll is beautiful!
Lennie is busy too, He is drawing up plans for a
new TV credenza.we need a new TV & our
entertainment center is cheap, old & falling
apart, plus the new TV won't fit.
